Traveling in Style

Berkley headed up to Idaho today to spend some quality time with Grandma & Grandpa Mackay, Aunt LaRae & Uncle Gary, and maybe a few kittens, horses and cows.

As a child I relied on a book, a travel game (Travel Bingo, etc.) or my imagination to keep me entertained.

My how far we've come. Berkley is watching Dora in the car with headphones. I guess she will learn Spanish and daddy won't.

What are you going to do with all your free time this weekend?

Yeah, I love car DVD players! How did our parents not kill us as kids when we didn't have such things to distract us?!

She will come back Saturday mid-day but tonight I am getting my hair done and tomorrow we are going out with Bruce's mission buddy. I don't know how it will feel to not get woken up at 4am by a thumb sucking child who wants to crawl in bed with us.

You'll still wake up at 4 am waiting for her so not only will you miss her, you will be awake... And Berkley will make all Mackays in Idaho happier than ever.

I think this technology stuff is a good thing. I recall having to walk a few times on road trips cause my parents couldn't handle us fighting...let me tell you, it sucks to walk a mile in the middle of nowhere!

I was one of those who said I would never have a DVD player in my car...or drive a stinkin' mini van. I have since eatin' my words. I would die without either one!!!

Jaime: How come I'm not surprised your parents made you walk? ha-ha

Drew: Yes, I will be awake. Thanks for the reminder.

Adrian: I said the same thing and ate the same words.
